The Volt

They drank the Kool-Aid: Much of the automotive press and the general media believe General Motors will deliver The Volt by 2009, 2010, and 2011 or by some date. Electric vehicles made by the Big Three in Detroit [GM, Ford, and Chrysler] are always in the future and seldom in showrooms and never for sale. GM's EV was for lease not for sale. That car was recalled, mashed, and shredded despite the number of satisfied drivers who wanted to buy it.

There are electric cars and hybrids available right now that don't look like golf carts or accelerate like snails.
